Sping Break in Southern California

Okay...Curt is going to kill me, but this is one of the FUNNIEST pictures ever!!! We were at Splash Mountain in Disneyland over spring break and I just have to share this! We had such a great time. It was exciting too because there was an 7.2 earthquake in southern California the day we were at Disneyland. They evacuated all the rides and shut them all down for 3 hours. Despite the little delay, we did get to ride everything we wanted and will remember this trip forever.
Here we are about to go on a ride. The kids loved Space Mountain, Star Tours, and the Matterhorn the best. They all HATED the Haunted Mansion.

Kyle & Cole....waiting in line...again!

The kids in front of the castle.

Here Cole is trying to be funny and pretending he is going to throw up.
I love this picture because Kyle & Hannah are actually getting along and he let her touch him.
We were all a little Goofy by the time we took this picture. It was about 11:00 at night. Cole and Kyle were not in this picture because they had both fallen asleep.

The kids loved Toon Town and all the crazy stuff there.

The day after Disneyland we did a little sight-seeing aroung L.A. Here is Hannah in front of the famous Hollywood sign. She thought that was pretty cool.

Here are Cole & Kyle overlooking L.A.

Next we went to Six Flags Magic Mountain. It was more of a "big kids" place but we did find some fun things for Cole & Kyle to do. Hannah & Blake were very brave and went on all the intense and extreme roller coasters. We had a great day, but the crowd was very different from Disneyland and Sea World...lots of teenagers with tatoos and piercings.

Cole & Kyle loved meeting these charachters!

Here are the kids with Daffy & Bugs.

Here is my favorite place!! I LOVE Sea World. Getting to play with the dolphins is my favorite thing to do there. They are so fun and friendly.

They must of remembered me from last time because one came right up and splashed us just to be funny. We didn't care a bit and laughed right along.

We met up with some friends from home and hung out with them for the day. Cole & Blake are having a great time petting the dolphins.

Here is Cole being very happy. (look below to see what happens later)

We went to the Shamu show and some of us brave people sat in the "soak zone"
Shamu must have thought we looked a little warm because he came several times to cool us off. Once he even splashed us three times in a row!

Cole did not want to sit in the "soak zone" but his evil mother made him. He was not very happy at this point. He later perked up after he dried off.

Here are the brave members of our group (Lisa is also included in this group...notice how a certian male figure in his mid-forties is not included)

On our last day Curtis took Hannah and Blake deep sea fishing. Blake caught the first fish of the day. He loved it! They left very early in the morning and got to see a lot of cool things. The dolphins swam right along the boat. The best part was they saw a 25 foot basking shark. It hung around their boat for about 20 minutes. The captain said it was the biggest shark he had seen in over 18 years of doing this.

Hannah was also successful in catching some fish. I wonder if she touched it?

Curt caught the coolest fish of the day. They spent a lot of time searching for the big tunas but did not find any...maybe next time.

Curt had an opportunity to spend two days floating down the Green River with his buddy Eric.
Here are some beautiful fish he caught.

Blake was a outlaw Cowboy in his Wyoming History Play at school.

Winter State Swimming

Hannah & Blake Competed in the state swimming competition in Gillette and had a great time!
Here are a few pictures of the kids swimming at the pool at our hotel...very cool place!

Here is Blake. He got 6th place in the state in the 50 breast and 7th in the 100 breast. His relay team took 4th. There were over 500 swimmers at this meet, so we were very proud of him.
