Curtis,Blake and I recently traveled to Yellowstone with Blake's 4th class for four days. We participated in "Expedition Yellowstone" where we got to stay in cabins and have the inside tour from park rangers. It was so fun and we learned so much!! We saw a lot of cool thermal features and wild animals. We had great weather and even got trapped in our cabins by buffalo! This picture is in front of Steamboat Geyser.
Here is a elk grazing in the town of Mammoth Hot Springs. They are all over the town just laying around in people's yards...soooo cool!

Here was a buffalo we saw right outside the bus window.

This is a picture of the Teton Mountains. We went by them on the way up to Yellowstone.

Here is Blake and I in front of Lower Falls.

Blake and Curt on the bus. We spent a lot of time in this bus. I'd forgotten how uncomfortable school buses really are.

Who is that boy?

Our new boy!!!
Cole decided to try his hand in cutting hair. It didn't work out so well. We knew that the time would come that he would get a "big boy" haircut, but mom really wanted to be the one to decide. Oh well, he still is my Cuite Pitutie!!! (p.s. he is wearing shorts in these pictures)

We also got cement curbing (and Hannah)

We Finally Did It!!!! Our Dog "Lady"

This is our new dog that we just got tonight. Her name is Lady and she is a two year old cocker spaniel. We had some friends who gave her to us for free. She is a pure bred and is house trained and fixed! The kids and Lisa are VERY EXCITED and Curtis seems to be okay with her so far. The one thing that should make Curtis happy is that she doesn't squirt when she gets excited...like most dogs do when they meet him! Ha! Ha! We feel that she will be a great addition to our family and already love her.

Curt's Antelope 2009
Kyle and Lisa went with him. Kyle loved it (Lisa..not so much). It was a fun day.

Curt and Kyle scoping out the kill.

Blake is playing Jr.Ranger football and he loves it!! Mom was a little nervous, but he does great. He mainly plays defensive line and special teams.

Blake is literally number one!!!

We went boating on a very chilly day to Bear Lake....but it was still fun. The kids love the tube.

Cole and Kyle trying to stay warm!

Kyle's First Day of Preschool.

He was very excited and he loves to go and play with his friends.

Cole's 6th Birthday

For Cole's 6th Birthday we had a little party after school with a few of his friends. Each one got their own foam sword and we had quite the battle. It was really fun and Cole was overjoyed. He is such a great little boy and so much fun to be around. We all love him lots and he makes us laugh all the time with his crazy antics.
Here is Cole and his friends who had an eating contest.

Here are the boys looking clean before the contest.

First Day of School

Cole's First Day of Kindergarten!!! He was really excited and didn't even look back. He did come and give me one hug before he left just to make me happy. He goes all day to school so he and Kyle have been missing each other and giving lots of hugs in the mornings. He is a great student. His teacher said he sits in his chair and doesn't move or say anything. I can't believe we are talking about the same kid. He is so happy.
This is Blake's big year....4th grade!! He gets to go to Yellowstone for 4 days with his class in October. (Curt & I are also going as chaperones) He is also staring Jr. Ranger football with other 4th-6th graders. Mom just hopes he can run fast...away from all those big 6th graders. He has a difficult year ahead with lots of projects and book reports.

Hannah is in 5th grade which is over at the middle school in portable classrooms due to construction. That has been a big adjustment but Hannah is really enjoying having to switch teachers and rooms for different classes. She is also going to be in band. She hasn't decided which instrument yet, but she is leaning towards the flute.

Visit to Reno

We stayed at the Peppermill Casino in Reno. The kids loved the arcade and the pool. Here is Cole at the arcade.
Here is Kyle hitting the balls into the dogs mouth. He loved it!

Hannah and Blake are competing at DDR.

We also rode the Indy cars. Hannah & Blake had their own while Cole and Kyle rode with Mom and Dad. Mom was the slowest, of course.

Blake in his race car. He and Hannah were crazy drivers. They both tried to take out anyone in the area when they tried to pass.

We went "Glow Bowling" - glow in the dark bowling. Hannah got two strikes in a row and still ended up with a total score of 36!! Lisa was the only one who broke 100.

Grandpa and grandkids

We had a great time at Circus Circus and watched a few circus shows.

This is such a great picture of Kyle with Great Grandpa Harry riding the ferris wheel in a big sporting goods store called Sheels in Nevada. Grandpa was so excited to take them on this.

Here they are in line patiently waiting for their turn.
